This tiny lemur is found in the eastern rainforests and northern
part of Madagascar where it lives in tree holes, nests made of
leaves and even in disused bird's nests.
Brown mouse lemurs are nocturnal and sleep alone or in very small
groups during the day. They largely eat fruit, flowers, young
shoots and insects.
Females give birth to one to three babies between November and
January, after a gestation period of around two months.
